I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...I'm impressed with Blake's talent, creativity, and incredible free spirit. He appears to enjoy life and has a very positive attitude towards whatever happens. At the Idol concert, he dropped the beach ball in the finale. I could hear him chuckle as he went to retrieve it. He didn't skip a beat in getting the ball to the next performer. A lot of people would have freaked out but he just took it in stride. I admire how quickly he makes friends and how loyal he is to them. I like that he has his own style and distinct music tastes. He has direction, focus, and vision. These are the qualities of a good leader so I expect he will become a great leader in the music industry.

I've enjoyed watching his journey from American Idol to his first CD. I never was a fan of AI but I would occassionally catch a glimpse while my children were watching it. I happened to catch Jordin's interview so when I saw that she made the top 24 I was rooting for her until my son told me I had to see the beatboxer. While I think Jordin is great, I have been a Blake fan ever since the first time I saw him perform. I went from a non AI viewer to an obsessive voting fool. Each week I registered increasingly more votes for Blake (and a few for Jordin too). I had my sons voting with a phone in each hand. On the final night of voting, we logged in 1,000 votes for Blake. My husband thought I was nuts and I was - nuts about Blake.

Musically, he is so talented. Like everyone else, I love listening to him beatbox. I never heard of beatboxing before Blake and I really like it. He's a great singer too and his facial expressions that he uses help convey the meaning of the songs he's singing - again - the whole package. I was impressed in the video he made on the making of A.D.D. when the comment was made about Blake having perfect pitch. He has a specific range of song types that really compliment his voice. I'd like to see him do more with these and place his own spin on them. By the way, whenever I hear Maroon 5 I think of Blake. It's wierd, but I guess it's because it was through Blake's music and his discussions of his music that I've learned so much more about other artists and come to appreciate a broader range of artists and music. That's what I'm talking about when I say Blake is a leader.

Oh, I should note also that he's adorably good looking with a playful smile. I admire his parents for the job they've done in raising such a great person. I enjoy everything about Blake and wish him increasing success and happiness.
