I'm probably a little older than most of your fans, but I really love your CD! I can totally relate to a lot of the songs. They bring out a lot of emotions. Some make me cry, but that's a good thing. You really know how to pour your heart into your music in a way that most people can relate to. It makes me feel better to know that I'm not the only one who has gone through or is going through some of these things. Thanks, Blake for your unforgettable, amazing music!

So I totally started liking Blake's music when Idol was on. He was really impressive and stood out and was truly unique. And I do enjoy his new CD... however... I feel it doesn't sound like what Blake wants to sound like. Yes, I do not know the man or know what his deepest desires are in terms of his debut CD, but this CD sounds like someone barfed a bunch of techno on Blake's beats. On Idol, he said his favorite band of all time is 311 and I think 311 would be confused at this album. It isn't bad, it just sounds so Euro and I would expect Blake to have a more reggae/rock feeling. "Break Anotha" sounds like a theme song to some kind of movie like "The Incredibles" or something, which to some is really great. I just thought that Blake wouldn't sell out to some weird execs and he would have a interesting blend of reggae/rock/hip-hop. I don't know if Blake reads this things, but if you do I really enjoy you as a musician and I will totally purchase your album the day you meet up with the Expendables, Slightly Stoopid, or Pepper and do a album with that kind of melody, but a more hip-hop feel that would be your perfect genre of music. I think that would be great!!

This just isnt very good. its over-produced. it's one thing to have weak vocals, but then make up for it with emotion or showmanship, ie. Sanjaya. This is just flat and boring. It's hysterical the blog about hitting the charts in the Phillepines - that's just laughable. He can't even book a show at local bar in the US. Too bad. Even my 12 year old sister who was so in love with him on the show thinks its bad.

This album is one that has put back some faith in me towards american singers. Defenitly the best and most original I have herd in a very long while! Upbeat rhythms accompagnied by slower melodies make the album good for every CD collection.
Blake makes his message pass so well through his voice and songs, it's crazy. The feeling of the song comes with the first beat. I am impressed and very touched by most of the songs. I have to say, End of the World, Without You and I Got U are my personal favorite. I can relate to them so easily. Without you even brought tears to my eyes...I guess I am a little emotional, but still!

My first impression of Blake did not come out fully in this record. ( I think he poured a lot into this release, but feel there is far more to be heard )
I listen to the tracks and can say - "that sounds like", or "ooo that's hot like ____". I gave it a 4/5 overall cause I feel this first album held back a tiny bit. Don't get me wrong it was almost a 5, cause it does sound very good. I wish I would have said more "this is completely new" or "this Blake takes this genre to a different level". I know he's got it in him - I'm not sure he's totally figured out how to turn his ultra creativity into a marketable giant. So this release was slightly safe from my POV.

Blake is a true artist!! Every song tells a different story and has a unique catchy beat! It's so great to be able to be lost in his music and relate to him. He adds his own spicy flavor to everything and i have 2 say i think hes amazing!
I can't say how much I love this album. I by one every 3 or maybe 4 years. I feel inlove with Blakes style on American Idol so I bought his album. FREAKING WOW!!!!! Every song is unique. I really like everyone of the Traks this has not happened in I can't remmber when. I have been telling all my friends about this album. Blake Lewis is a musical magical genius.

Picture me as a dude who never watches tv let alone pop idol... who is an indy electro-jazz-pop fusion artist in a country at the other end of the world... who spends his time ignoring anything that's popular simply cause it is... yeah I'm one of them.
Picture me accidentally running across an interview with Blake on youtube and taking the time to listen to what he has to say for himself - first thing the interviewer says is how terrible it is he came 2nd and he just smiles and says nope he thinks it's great... not saying he'll get through but proud of what he achieved... I'm thinking OK I like that, the dude's positive and keep listening... then he's quoting 80s pop, electronica, hiphop... I'm thinking ok I wanna hear something...
Picture me smacked upside the head. OMG Mr Music Snob this pop idol dude is the real thing. Break Anotha is a tight track with some great layering of analogue and digital instruments and effects - my favourite thing and never easy to achieve.

I can't say how much I love this album. I by one every 3 or maybe 4 years. I feel inlove with Blakes style on American Idol so I bought his album. FREAKING WOW!!!!! Every song is unique. I really like everyone of the Traks this has not happened in I can't remmber when. I have been telling all my friends about this album. Blake Lewis is a musical magical genius.

this is the single best cd that i have ever listened to in my entire life. i was listening to it yesterday and end of the world came on and, for no particular reason, i started to cry. very hard. in my opinion, that means the dude sang the song right!!!

I got Blake album for X-mas and I haven't stopped listening to it since! It's amazing. It's driving my paretns and friends crazy I'm listening to it so much. =) I loves ya Blake!

"I love Blake Lewis!" and i don't care what anybody else says, i won't EVER change my mind! he's just so awsome! everybody at my school is into all the ACDC stuff, and they don't care about Blake's music

I had been waiting 4ever for this cd! My dad told me that Blake's cd came out on Dec. 4, and it was #1 on my Christmas list!! I got it and I almost cried!!!! That is how much I love Blake Lewis! I love all the songs! My 9 year old sister keeps singing End Of The World. At my uncle's wedding, my cousins referred to me as the person who is obsessed with Blake Lewis! What can I say, he is on my ceiling in four places, so every morning I wake up and see him! Bshorty u should have anotha cd! Not tooo soon b/c I can't get your songs outta my head!! I always watch you on Youtube!!!

I'd never heard of the dude except to wonder what the hell was up with his album cover when I drove past ads on bus stops...
Picture me as a dude who never watches tv let alone pop idol... who is an indy electro-jazz-pop fusion artist in a country at the other end of the world... who spends his time ignoring anything that's popular simply cause it is... yeah I'm one of them.
Picture me accidentally running across an interview with Blake on youtube and taking the time to listen to what he has to say for himself - first thing the interviewer says is how terrible it is he came 2nd and he just smiles and says nope he thinks it's great... not saying he'll get through but proud of what he achieved... I'm thinking OK I like that, the dude's positive and keep listening... then he's quoting 80s pop, electronica, hiphop... I'm thinking ok I wanna hear something...
Picture me smacked upside the head. OMG Mr Music Snob this pop idol dude is the real thing. Break Anotha is a tight track with some great layering of analogue and digital instruments and effects - my favourite thing and never easy to achieve.
Keep it up and can't wait till I hear more.
